Hole in ozone layer growing to largest-ever size
TOKYO, Sept. 9 2005 KYODO
The hole in the ozone layer above the Antarctic this year is growing and is set to become the largest-ever size, the Japan Meteorological Agency said Friday.
''At its largest, the hole is expected to be around the same size or a little smaller than it was in 2000, when it was the largest on record, or as it was in 2003 (the second-largest size),'' the agency said.
